Hearing loss and sight loss, two sensory losses that impact so many lives. There is lots of hope and help available and this meeting will connect you to that help. For our February meeting we join forces with the Hearing Loss Association of America, Central PA Chapter, to present an overview of services provided by the PA office of Vocational Rehabilitation. The ever-popular Master Gardeners will again be leading us through the colorful gardens of the PSU Arboretum, this time for the early summer blooms of June, and to tour some of the new installations. There is much to be explored in the limestone cave, kaleidoscopes, mushroom hollow, and more at the newly opened Childhood Gates Children's Garden. We will be leaving from the main parking area entrance at 10 am. The tour is free and open to all, but please notify the SLSG office by email at office@slsg.org or by phoning 814-238-0132 if you plan on attending.  

Susan Kennedy, audio-describer, and Deb Nungesser, Master Gardener, will totally immerse us in a lovely community garden. This event will be held RAIN or SHINE at TWO o'clock.

Heather Engle, Community Educator for NCSS, will tell us about this organization, and give us some tips on living with sight loss.

Rana Arnold gives us a facinating glimpse into everyday life with her guide dog Bingo.
