Picnic CANCELLED. Due to the continued sodden and puddled Boal Mansion grounds, now accompanied by an abundance of hungry mosquitoes and gnats, we have regretfully cancelled the tour and picnic (re)scheduled for this Thursday. We will try again for May or June. We WILL be meeting for a usual 2nd Thursday Lunch at Mt Nittany Residences (301 Rolling Ridge Dr) 11:30 to 1:30 on Oct 11. Officer Adam Sanyards from the SC Police Dept will be speaking about identifying and avoiding scams.
Join us as we explore some of the prolific public art works of downtown State College. The tour is free and open to all, but please notify the SLSG office by email at email@example.com or by phoning (814)238-0132 by May 30 if you plan on attending. Rain date: Wednesday, June 12.
The artworks in Plastic Entanglements invite us to contemplate the past, present, and future of plastic. Join us for a special event for the visually impaired at the Palmer Museum of Art as we explore this spectacular exhibit with special tactile presentations. Admission is free, reservations are not necessary, but notification to the SLSG office by phone (814-238-0132) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan on attending would be appreciated.
Join us for the State College Spikes Opening Night! We are getting a block of tickets in the accessible seating section where you'll get a better view! Tickets are $10. Join us as we root for the home team, sample the stadium food, and enjoy the fireworks after the game. Please call the office immediately (814-238-0132) or email so we can add you to the block of tickets. Click the photo for more info. Note: The first pitch is thrown at 7:05 pm, but you will want to arrive earlier to join in the fun! Ending time of 11 pm is an approximation!
