PENN STATE CENTRE STAGE PRODUCTIONS
SISTER ACT (Musical): Penn State Centre Stage Productions. Saturday, October 17, 2026, Matinee,1:30 pm at the Playhouse Theater
Sister Act is a musical based on the hit 1992 film of the same name which starred Whoopi Goldberg.
Deloris, a lonely aspiring star and nightclub singer, witnesses a murder and goes into witness protection at a local convent. Against her will, she is tasked with directing the poorly performing nun choir. With glitz, humor, and sheer willpower, Deloris manages to turn the shabby nun chorus into a fabulous performing ensemble. This lighthearted musical comedy based on the 1992 hit film features a disco-infused score by famed Disney film composer Alan Menken. Sister Act will have you grooving in your seat, laughing out loud, and ready to RAISE YOUR VOICE!
The full-length production of Sister Act The Musical runs for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a single 15- to 20-minute intermission
