Tyrants is a new musical focusing on the famous Booth acting family, exploring the lives of acclaimed actor Edwin Booth and his extremist brother, presidential assassin John Wilkes Booth.
In this new biographical musical from Nora Brigid Monahan and Alexander Sage Oyen, politics is personal as brothers Edwin and John Wilkes Booth find themselves on opposing sides of one of the most important events in history. Set in the present with a contemporary musical theatre score, it examines responsibility to family, country, and oneself.
has a running time of two hours and 40 minutes, which includes one 15-minute intermission.

For tickets, please sign up at a luncheon or call the Sight-Loss Support Group, 814 238-0132, to reserve the audio-description services. Tickets, which are required for all performances, must be purchased at least two weeks before the scheduled performances.
On the day of the performance, pick up your pre-ordered tickets from the person handing out your Audio-Description Equipment. At Eisenhower, your tickets will be at the Audience Services Desk (across the lobby from the Will Call desk). At all other events, pick up your tickets at the Audio-Description Equipment table.
