In an attempt to regulate water consumption, Urinetown has outlawed the use of private toilets. The citizenry must use public, pay-per-use amenities owned and operated by Urine Good Company, a malevolent corporation run by the corrupt Caldwell B. Cladwell.

Written in 2001 but set in 2027, this side-splittingly funny musical satire promises to make you pee your pants from laughter! Written by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis’, URINETOWN is just as hilariously subversive as when it first premiered. It is a fable of greed, corruption, love, revolution, and urination, in a time when water is worth its weight in gold and there's no such thing as a free pee. Now that we are soon entering the real era of this musical’s setting, the shows themes of the ever widening gulf between haves and have nots are becoming more real than ever before and worthy of our humorous investigation.
